Hazel

AAU Collaborative Project 2019~20

Overview: A girl named Hazel with peanut allergy encounters her nightmares as she goes into coma 

Objective: Wield the crystallized hammer to explore her dreams and encounter and defeat peanut enemies

Engine: Unity C#

For this project, I 

  • Scripted enemy manager to assign each attached enemy to either attack the player or stay  

  • Scripted each enemy to detect the player with spherical sight cones with adjustable positions and ranges

  • Rigged and animated old enemy's behaviors and joints with fixed origins 

  • Animated new enemy's behaviors with matching joints and origins with the old enemy

  • Scripted enemy's behavior and animation states accordingly

  • Provided visual effects for the tutorial level

Fled vs Fox

AAU Collaborative Project 2016~17

Overview: An adorable yet dark game based on a social issue, specifically emergent dangers against strangers

Objective: As the teacher of the Owl School, rescue as many students as possible before the hungry fox attacks and eats them all

Engine: Unity C#

Used Software: Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Completion Time: 7 Weeks

​For this project, I 

  • Scripted player movement and interactions with students

  • Scripted fox (villain) to randomly enter classroom and attack a student 

  • Scripted entire camera position and movement

  • Scripted and used students as navmesh agents assigned with sets of path nodes to move to randomly and check not to collide against each other

  • Rigged and animated every model with appropriate gestures that fit to the theme 

Neurotime

AAU Collaborative Prototype 2020

Overview: A prototype pitched and designed for Parkinson's Disease patients 

Objective: Tap on each circle with indicated finger to replicate recommended hand exercises for patients

Engine: Unity C#

Completion Time: 1 Week+

Credits: Neuroboxing, Dilon Haight, Sangbu Kim

For this prototype, I 

  • Designed functional, interactive rhythmic exercise for Parkinson's Disease patients to improve their flexibilities and agilities

  • Implemented mobile plugins (SDK, JDK, Google Drive USB) to successfully install the game to mobile phones

  • Scripted basic tap gameplay with indicated finger to use the phone as the grip to hold onto and release for Parkinson's Disease patients to exercise with

  • Scripted basic progressive system to store players' scores and unlock levels accordingly
